Clouds On Mars Brand Guidelines
When I first joined Clouds On Mars as a Graphic Designer,
I noticed there were no clear guidelines for the brand. While the logo and main color had been established, there was no consistency in the overall brand personality, values, or voice and tone. When I got promoted to Brand Manager, it was up to me to take charge and establish these guidelines. This included everything from the visual aspects to the more intangible elements that make up a brand. It was a challenging task, but ultimately satisfying to see the brand come together in a cohesive and impactful way.
Clouds On Mars Brand Guidelines
When tasked with creating the Brand Guidelines for my company, I initially gathered all the materials already in use and analyzed what they had in common.
Next came the fun part: getting to know the brand on a deeper level. I conducted workshops and interviews, and even did my own research to establish the brand’s personality, voice and tone, values and strategy. I found myself becoming more and more passionate about the brand and what it stood for.
Finally, I created the Brand Guidelines document that would educate the entire crew on how to communicate correctly and consistently. I not only created a useful tool for the company, but I also deepened my own understanding and connection to the brand.
